Actor Son Suk Ku might be incredibly handsome and talented, but he has gained attention after revealing the unexpected reason he chose to share his “naked butt” in a scene rather than using a stunt double.

Recently, Son Suk Su appeared on a variety show.

During the video, he took netizens by surprise when he spoke about a scene from the film Nothing Serious. The actor explained that in a scene where he had to show his naked butt, Son Suk Su chose not to take the option of using a stunt double.

When I was filming Nothing Serious… With Jong Seo, you know? There was a scene in which I showed my naked butt in front of her. The production team said it was only going to show the back, but if I didn’t feel comfortable with it, I could request a double. I said I’d do it, though.

Of course, it was quite a statement to make as it’s not uncommon for actors to really showcase themselves if they don’t have to, so one of the MCs asked, “Why? Because you were confident about your butt?” Oddly enough, Son Suk Ku added, “Well, no. It wasn’t about confidence.”

In particular, when referring to his status as the top man on the list of gay men’s top celebrity ideals for the second half of 2023, he explained that he wanted to be genuine.

After Shin Dong Yeop explained that there could be an issue later on, Son Suk Ku revealed that he didn’t want to let anyone down, even if his butt might not be as good as the stunt double.

I don’t want anyone to feel let down, you know? Sure, my butt might not be as amazing as a double’s, but it’d be mine. I’m going to try my best to stay relevant with what I got.
