Actress Kim Ji Won has revealed how she lost weight for her role in the K-Drama Queen Of Tears.

Kim Ji Won is currently starring alongside Kim Soo Hyun in the K-Drama Queen Of Tears, where she plays Hong Hae In. In the show, Ji Won shows off true chaebol visuals and looks absolutely beautiful.

Yet, it seems like a lot of work and dedication went into the look for Hong Hae In.

On March 19, the cast of Queen of Tears appeared on the hit YouTube show Salon Drip. 

During the video, host Jang Do Yeon explained how she heard Kim Ji Won had to cut back on food for her health.

The actress explained that it was not just for her health but because her character has to wear a lot of different outfits and external factors also contributed to her being “super thoughtful” when it came to food for an entire year.

When asked if she was referring to a diet, Kim Ji Won explained that she didn’t eat anything too heavy for a year.

Ji Won shocked the host after revealing that she hadn’t had any Chinese food for a year.

Although she promised herself that she’d eat after the filming was over, because of promotional schedules for the show, Ji Won still hadn’t gotten around to it.

So she was waiting for promotions to end, and she would be able to savor the food.

When the video was posted, netizens noticed that Kim Ji Won had lost weight, comparing two photos of the actress and how they missed her cute cheeks, but praising her sharper look for Hong Hae In.

As expected from a veteran actress like Kim Ji Won, she put her blood, sweat, and tears into preparing for the role, and while she is always beautiful, she perfectly captured the image of Hong Hae In with her sharp visuals.
