성공을 못했다고 생각하는 경우가 많은데, 반만 맞음.

 

지가 생각하던 "예술가" 로서의 화가로는 성공을 못 했지만

 

저런 수채화 물감으로 그림 엽서나 장식용 그림 그리는 화가로서는 제법 성공했음.

 

지금도 비싸지만 그 당시에는 저런 수제 엽서나 그림이 더 비싸고 나름 부르주아 취향이라 가격이 좀 나갔긴 해도

 

비엔나라고 하는 대도시에서 저거 팔아서 먹고살 정도면 꽤 성공했다고 봐야 하는데

 

어떤 자료를 찾아봐도 살기 불편하지 않을 정도의 수입을 만들었음.

 

거기에 이런저런 연금 상속받은거 합치면 꽤나 비싼 생활을 했고 (게으르고, 취향은 고급이며, 오페라 등의 활동을 즐기던 히틀러의 생활 패턴을 감안하면, 상당한 수준일)

 

심지어 그 그림 수입을 잃게 된 계기가 스스로가 게으르고 그림 딜러하고 분배하기 싫어서 지랄하다가 관계가 나빠져서임.

In the summer of 1910, a breach of these relations happened. On the one hand, Hitler was lazy to work more and create more pictures, on the other hand, he felt it inconvenient to share his income with Reinhold Hanisch. In addition, Adolf Hitler got a new friend named Josef Neumann. From 21 to 26 June 1910, he even left the hostel for a week. On July 12, 1910, Neumann left Vienna to go to Germany and he would never see Adolf Hitler again.
